Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium

Yesterday Greg had yet another furlough day (the paper added another week to all employees), so we took advantage of that and of the nice weather and went to the Wildlife World Zoo. We had never been before and since the price is $26.50 per adult (kids under 3 are free) we were in no rush to go. But my good friend Jennifer told me about a free ticket in the Entertainment book which can be purchased for $15 right now. There are actually TWO free tickets in that book, so it was worth the money to buy. Not to mention all the other good coupons in that book. Anyway, we decided to go and the first part that I loved the best was that it was only about 20 min from our house. As opposed to the Phoenix Zoo which is about 45 min. We all loved it. That zoo is so cool, the animals come right up to you. You can practically stick your fingers in their cage and pet them all. Which worried me a little when the Emu came right up to Brody. And the aquarium was awesome too. They had penguins, sharks, sting rays, a white crocodile, and tons of other fish. I think this was the favorite part for Kat & Brody. They loved the aquarium. Anyway, just a few pictures and video of our day. It was such a fun day and when we got back home they crashed for about 3 hours in their cribs. Double fun :).

Brody was in heaven walking around with his popcorn and looking at the animals. He got a lot of exercise yesterday.

She LOVED the sharks. Greg said that he heard this high pitch scream coming from a kid and he looked around thinking 'who's child is that' and then realized it was Kat.

The train ride was awesome. It took you into the animal exhibits so you can see them up close. The conductor said before we started to keep your hands inside because the animals can sometimes come up to you. This was Brody's favorite. He cried when we got off the train.

Tired and ready to go home. They were beat at the end of the day.

A video of the Tiger. It kept pacing back and forth in front of us. We were the only ones there for awhile, and then a few other kids showed up and we started to work our way to another exhibit and as we walked away the Tiger followed us in his cage. When he got to the point he couldn't follow us anymore and we kept walking he jumped up on the fence. Greg thinks he was eyeing Kat as an appetizer :).
